POLICIES

Committed to creating a meaningful stay for all our guests.

We ask that each guest take the time to familiarize themselves with the details of each policy prior to arrival to avoid any misunderstandings or forfeit of deposit.

  • Guests are asked to tidy their accommodation/site prior to check-out. This helps us to keep our housekeeping costs down, which keeps your costs down!

    We kindly ask that you follow these simple steps to avoid any charges to your deposit:

    • Abide by 1pm check-out

    • Main surfaces wiped clean of food & hair

    • Dishes washed, dried & put away

    • Dirty towels & rags left in the bathtub

    • BBQ scraped after use

    • Recycle items left in provided bins

    • Garbage bagged and dropped in the garbage bin on your way out

    Please keep things tidy during your stay and no food or garbage is to be left outside as this will attract unwanted animal attention. 

    We understand that accidents do happen. If there was an incident and something got broken or you need assistance with a larger mess than you can handle, please contact management and we will be happy to help. 

    • The Upper Suite (max 4pp) - $175 (for 2 people)

    • The Lower Suite (max 6pp) - $175 (for 2 people)

    • The Whole Guesthouse (max 10pp) - $350 (for 4 people)

    • Star Gazer; Bell Tent A (max 2) - $50 (for 2 people)

    • Blue Bell; Bell Tent B (max 2) - $50 (for 2 people) 

    • Additional $20 per person, per night

    If you choose to book disregarding our max occupancy rules, the extra guest(s) will be asked to leave upon arrival. 

    If we find you have had extra guests after you have already checked in, you will be charged an extra night for each night they have stayed. 

    If you choose to vacate instead of paying the extra charge, the remainder of your stay and damage deposit will be forfeit.

    • Please respect our 4pm check in time and 1pm check out time

    We have a cleaning system in place to get all accommodation/sites prepared for the next guests and we need this time to ensure we don’t fall behind.

    • Additional $10 per pet, per night 

    If we find that you have brought a pet for your stay without informing us as part of your booking, you will be charged in full.

    If you choose to vacate instead of paying the appropriate charges, the remainder of your stay and damage deposit will be forfeit.

  • We are a place to come and enjoy peace and restoration.  We are NOT a place for parties or loud gatherings.

    If you are wishing to book all or multiple accommodations, please be aware that you are not booking “the property”. When visiting with each other, we ask that you keep the noise and activity to a decent level so as to respect the on-site staff, owners, other guests, day use visitors, and neighbours.

    Private Venue Rentals start at $3000. If you wish to book as a private venue, please call directly to discuss your group needs and our expectations. This will help us avoid any misunderstandings when you arrive and to ensure this is the right place for your event!

  • We want people to have a good time, but loud music and rude behaviour will not be tolerated. If we find you are in violation of this policy and ignore our warnings, you will be asked to leave and forfeit the remainder of your reservation as well as your damage deposit.

    • A reasonable number of visitors is permitted at your accommodation between the hours of 10am-10pm.

    • A heads up to management that you will be expecting them is always appreciated.

    • Absolutely no smoking or vaping of any kind is permitted inside the guesthouse or bell tents. 

    • If we find a guest was smoking inside, the entire party will be asked to leave and forfeit the remainder of your reservation as well as your damage deposit, be charged an additional $300, and not be permitted to book with us again.

    When smoking outside, please ensure all butts are discarded in the provided ash trays or butt cans. If we find cigarette butts discarded recklessly, your damage deposit will be forfeited due to littering and wildfire endangerment.

  • We are proud to provide 4 fire circles on the property to be enjoyed among guests, with each supplied with firewood free of charge. You are expected to use this space responsibly. 

    • Ask our staff for help with splitting kindling as needed

    • Do not overload the fire, or remove burning logs from the circle

    • Ensure the fire is fully extinguished after use and do not leave unattended

    • “Soak it, stir it and soak it again until cool”

    If found that you are in violation of these guidelines and ignore our warnings, you will be asked to leave and forfeit the remainder of your reservation as well as your damage deposit.

    When in doubt, always ask for help. 

  • We adhere strictly to the Alberta Fire Ban guidelines, and expect all our guests to as well. 

    • We advise you check the Alberta Fire Ban Website (County of Wetaskiwin) prior to arrival

    • If any accident should occur resulting in rapid spread of fire, call 911 or 310-FIRE immediately

    • Any verbal, emotional, or physical abuse directed at staff, other guests, day use visitors, or neighbours will not be tolerated

    If we find you are in violation of this policy and ignore our warnings, you will be asked to leave and forfeit the remainder of your reservation as well as your damage deposit.

  • Hidden Springs will not be held liable for injuries sustained during your stay, or while engaging in recreational activities on the property, including the use of community equipment, or facilities:

    Canoes

    • Life jackets of all sizes are in the barn

    • Not without adult supervision

    • At individual’s own risk

    Swimming 

    • Not without adult supervision

    • Not in the dark

    • At individual’s own risk

    The Sauna

    • Bathing suits/towel wraps are required

    • Read all posted information

    • Stay hydrated!!

    • At individual’s own risk

    Skiing

    • Ski equipment provided for personal use

    • At individual’s own risk

    Animals and Livestock

    • Guest dogs should be introduced to Farm dogs

    • Guest dogs should not be engaging with any of the farm animals

    • Farm animals should be approached with high degree of caution

    • Farm animals should not be approached without adult supervision

    • At individual’s own risk

    • We require a $100 deposit which is due at the time of booking

    • This fee will be held separately from your total bill amount

    • The full amount of your reservation is due upon arrival/check-in

    • After you are checked out and we have completed the clean on your accommodation/site, we will refund your deposit accordingly

    • If you have not violated any of our policies and your accommodation/site is in good condition, you will receive a full refund

    • Deposits will be refunded via email transfer within 2-3 days

    • If there are deductions or additional charges to be made, you will receive a detailed invoice

    • Deposits may be transferred to another booking if notified 2 weeks prior to your check-in date

    • If canceling within the 2 week period, your deposit will be forfeited

    • If you decide to leave before your check-out date you forfeit the remainder of your reservation though you may be eligible to receive your deposit back, pending no policy violations

    • If you are canceling due to an emergency situation, please contact us for alternative arrangements
