More than just a
place to sleep.

Our rural setting offers plenty of opportunities to reconnect with nature and loved ones of all ages, whether you’re seeking high-energy activities or contemplative rest.

Finnish Sauna

We built our traditional Finnish sauna in 1978 with logs felled from the property. It was restored and updated in 2020 and stands ready to welcome anyone in need of a good steam. We’ll happily get a fire started for you in the woodstove, just say the word!

Twin Lakes

Located just across the highway, this hidden gem is the perfect place to swim, paddle, and picnic. Bring your own canoe, or borrow ours. Enjoy the docks, sandy beach, and cool deep water. If you’re lucky, you’ll spot our favourite loon and beaver families.

Community Garden

For as long as we’ve been here, we’ve been tending a garden. This sweet little plot keeps us well fed, brings us peace, and is a valuable teaching tool. We come from a long line of prairie food producers, love to get our hands dirty with neighbours, and can’t wait to share the bounty with our broader community.

The Village

The Village at Pigeon Lake is home to some of our favourite shops and restaurants. It’s a great spot to pick up groceries, treat yourself to lunch, do a bit of shopping, or indulge in an ice cream cone. It will take you about 20 minutes to drive to The Village from Hidden Springs.

You don’t have to be an overnight guest to enjoy the amenities at Hidden Springs.

Whether you’re dropping in from down the road, or day-tripping from further afield, we’d love to see you. We ask that those who make use of our trails or enjoy the property pay a small annual fee to help with the cost of maintenance and sustainable improvements.

“We’ve stayed twice now in the upper suite at Hidden Springs. It is the perfect winter getaway for our family. The kids play with the dogs and skate. We ski and enjoy the sauna. Everyone star-watches and we go home feeling more connected to each other and thankful for Barbara and Kelsey’s warm hospitality.”
